The Transition Report 2008 presents the main economic and reform developments in the EBRD's countries of operations in 2007 and 2008. It also includes an assessment of how the global financial crisis is affecting the transition region.

The special theme this year is growth. Using various data sources, the Report looks at the roles that education, competition policy and export structure can play in shaping a country's long-term growth performance, and examines the experience and potential role of industrial policy in the region.
